The 2.838-d RS Canum Venaticorum binary V711 Tauri (HR 1099) exhibits striking changes in its light curve from season to season. An analysis of all the available V-band and 6585 A light curves is made on the assumption that light variations are due to the presence of starspots on one member of the system. The analysis includes 12 light curves obtained between 1963 and 1981. The rather complicated changes in the light curves appear to be associated with relatively simple systematic changes in spot size, latitude, and longitude. During late 1978 and early 1979 there was a maximum in spot area in which, according to the modeling, at least 20% of the star was spotted. The pattern of spot size and movement has not yet repeated. This puts a constraint on the length of any spot cycle analogous to the solar cycle. Observed radio flares occur during an interval in which the spots appear to be changing rapidly in size and location.
