Methods Of Reduction: Numerical Methods

Scientific paper

The various methods of multi-technique data combination and the precision achievable are discussed. Being independent of the RMSs, the Pearson χ2 and the moments of residuals as a sample Gaussian noise are used to assess the combination solutions. It is shown with simulated and real data reduction that these statistical quantities provide important information about the solution. Based on these statistical data, the determination of weighting factors is addressed.
