Comets: Outbursts, Comets: Photometry

Scientific paper

The results of observations of Comet Hale-Bopp by means of photoelectric
and photographic photometry from September to November of 1996 are
presented. It is shown that there appears to have been three outbursts
around Sept. 24, Oct. 26 and Nov. 13 and it is possible that an outburst
took place around Oct. 9.
