Results of photoelectric UBV observations of RY Tau conducted during 1965-1980 are presented. A fast component (days) and a slow component (years) are observed in the light of RY Tau. In the fast variations, the color indices B-V and U-B are found to vary independently of the brightness, although in individual time intervals a fairly strong positive and negative correlation is observed with the brightness of the star. In the slow variations, an inverse dependence is detected in which the color indices increase with increasing brightness of the slow component. A comparison of the variations in the intrinsic polarization of RY Tau and the brightness is presented.
