Radio emission from the Jovian satellite Io has been recorded by the RATAN-600 radio telescope at wavelengths of 2.08 and 3.9 cm. Io's brightness temperature at the two wavelengths is 190 and 600 K. Apparently Io possesses significant radiation belts, and thereby a magnetic field. The decameter bursts of Jupiter might be attributable to processes in the magnetosphere of Io.
