The Appleton Laboratory's 25-m antenna at the Chilbolton Observatory has been used for intensity and linear polarization measurements at the shortest wavelength (9 mm) at which it is reasonably efficient. The strong radio sources Taurus A and 3C 84 were used to calibrate the polarimeter and to develop the experimental technique. Measurements were then made of the central region of Taurus, followed by new measurements of the polarization distribution at this wavelength over the central region of Cas A. The polarization of the E and W components of Cygnus A were also measured. A collation of earlier Cygnus data taken at longer wavelengths but at a similar angular resolution is presented. The new data confirm the large rotation measure of the E component and the short wavelength fall of the degree of polarization of the W component from its maximum of about 14% in the vicinity of 2.5-cm wavelength. Taurus A shows the expected strong and uniform polarization over the central considered, and Cas A the ring-like distribution observed at other wavelengths.
