ISO-SWS has observed Jupiter on May, 23rd 1997, from 2.5 to 16 μm, encompassing the spectral signatures of all the major gaseous absorbers of the planet. Here we present the results concerning the ammonia vertical distribution from 0.2 to 8 bar, the ratio isotopic ratio measured in the ammonia, the thermal profile of the stratosphere, and the vertical distributions of two hydrocarbons (ethane and acetylene).
