Results are given for a multifrequency methanol-line study of the gas-dust complex M8E-IR, which contains a peculiar object-a class I methanol maser. The spatial distribution of the methanol maser, infrared source, and compact radio source is determined. The class I methanol maser is located between the infrared and radio sources, and is probably associated with the front of a bipolar outflow in a region of interaction with the dense molecular gas. The maser, however, is not involved in the bipolar motion. The position of the class I maser coincides with the position of the OH maser to within 1".
