Scientific paper

The paper considers coronal heating above plage regions caused by the dissipation of plasma turbulence generated by energetic electron streams. The efficiency of energy transfer from electron streams to the background plasma is estimated; it is shown that during developed storm bursts a layer of nonisothermal plasma is formed above the plage regions. Finally, the role of heat conductivity during the formation of such layers is discussed.
