The paper presents a physical analysis of the giant II regions IC 1805 and IC 1848. A new map of the giant H II region IC 1805 was constructed, noting that the optically determined age of the OB association near the shell center agrees with the age of the radio shell determined by the bubble theory of one million years. The first supersynthesis observations using the WSRT of the continuum emission from the 15 ft region containing the OB association in IC 1905 found five compact, three small, and two extended radio features associated with the OB region. A new map of the giant H II 1848 is presented, and analysis of the extended, spherical type feature in the eastern half yielded electron density of about 14/cu cm; the ionization balance suggested the presence nearby of optically hidden stars of spectral type O. The energetics and dynamics of the shell type feature in the western half interpreted in terms of the bubble theory give an age close to one million years.
