Deep CCD photometry is applied to study star formation in two regions of DDO 210 and three regions of NGC 3109. Color-magnitude diagrams and luminosity functions are used to derive information on stellar populations, star formation rates, and initial mass functions of these regions in the last 1 Gyr, over which star-formation activity has been continuous. In view of the present models, metallicity should be fairly low and the initial mass function exponent should be in the vicinity of Salpeter' value.
