We present a new radio continuum and polarization survey of Centaurus A (Cen A) made with the Parkes radio telescope at 6.3 cm wavelength having a beamwidth of 4.3 arcmin. The rms noise in the final total-power map is 20 mJy/b.a. while that in the polarized-intensity map is 8 mJy/b.a. The paper describes observations and data analysis techniques used and presents maps of the complete radio source. The outer radio lobes of Cen A can be traced over more than 9 on the sky (or 500 kpc linear distance). They are significantly polarized over most of the area. The radio continuum morphology of Cen A shows a distinct S-shaped structure in the outer radio lobes.
