The role of ordinary bremsstrahlung and thermal magnetobremsstrahlung
(gyromagnetic radiation) in solar microwave bursts is discussed. The
circular polarization and frequency spectrum of a burst depend on the
dynamics of the temperature gradient in the accompanying flare.
