The period of AK Her, a W UMa system, is discussed and a new light-time orbit is derived. Although the representation is satisfactory, the solution must be regarded as preliminary since observations cover only one period in the hypothetical triple system (78 yrs). The possible influence of a visual companion, about 4.6 arc seconds apart, is estimated. Additionally a set of 170 photoelectric observations is presented, defining three epochs of minimum.
