Anomalous emission lines from the object SS433 may be explained by an emitting ring of gas in a circular orbit around a central, massive black hole. The broad, strong anomalous emission lines move rapidly across the spectrum; two such movements, when interpreted as Doppler shifts, imply velocity changes of 6000 and -3500 km/sec. Accretion onto the massive black hole may account for the optical continuum radiation, broad emission lines, weak radio and X-ray emission from SS433.
