Optical linear polarization has been measured in 12 blue stellar objects (BSOs) from the MC2 and MC3 catalogs. The results confirm six new BL Lacertae objects. Three other good candidates require further observation. Four of the six identifications have a steep-spectrum radio component, and it appears that working from a low-frequency radio survey, which includes a high proportion of steep-spectrum sources, eliminates a bias against the identification of such sources as BL Lacertae objects.
