Results are reported for 2.7-, 4.8-, and 10.7-GHz observations of the large radio halo surrounding the elliptical galaxy M87. It is shown that the spectral index of the radio halo continues to steepen up to 10.7 GHz, implying a deficiency of high-energy electrons in the halo. A relatively smooth circumferential magnetic field is found to permeate the section of the radio halo from which the polarized flux originates. A halo electron density is derived which is considerably less than the value required to account for the extended X-ray emission.
