This is a slightly embellished ``transcript'' of the after-dinner speech presented at the January 2004 Aspen meeting on binary pulsars which should really have been called the meeting on the double pulsar. Here I recall my experiences in the discovery of some of the great pulsars of our time, including the double pulsar, which I am sure will rank as one of the most important discoveries in pulsar astronomy.
