The consistency between the following two observational features of the neutrino burst from SN1987A is discussed in a model-independent way: One is the possible observation of high-flux electron neutrinos suggested by the forward excess in the Kamiokande and the Irvine-Michigan-Brookhaven data, and the other the nonobservation of extra νe in the 37Cl experiment. In general no strong inconsistency is found. In a certain scenario it is found that consistency is achieved in a nontrivial way thanks to the path dependence of the matter-enhanced neutrino oscillation.
