It is proposed that L870-2 is a postalgol binary consisting of two
degenerate helium dwarfs. The ratio of the mass components in these
systems is limited to the narrow range of 0.87 + or - 0.02, which agrees
with the observed value. Precursors of these systems may have been RC
Cas and AR Mon.
