We present results from a 48 ksec Chandra observation of the central region of the poor cluster of galaxies AWM7 with the ACIS-I array. We find that AWM7 is a fairly relaxed system that exhibits both a centrally declining temperature profile and a complex metallicity profile that rises toward the cluster center. The metallicity features may be attributed to interactions between galaxies near the central cD galaxy. AWM7 is nestled in the Perseus-Pisces supercluster filament a few Mpc away from the Perseus cluster of galaxies. We have identified analog systems to the AWM7-Perseus system from our catalog of numerical clusters of galaxies and examine the significance of AWM7 as a relaxed cluster, free from recent mergers, in light of the simulations.
