The data on Fe abundances in intergalactic gas (IGG) and on mass of IGG are briefly discussed. The evolution of this abundances is considered and results of calculations are compared with the observational data on clusters of galaxies. It is found that the prevailing part of IGG consists of interstellar gas sweeped with the galactic wind from galaxies to the intergalactic space. Some consequences of this fact are mentioned, in particular, related to the problem of heating of IGG.
