In order to study the transition between the powerful edge-brightened radio galaxies and the low-luminosity edge-darkened ones, a program intended to map with high resolution and sensitivity a complete sample of radio galaxies with intermediate strength has been undertaken. In this paper, observations of 29 4C radio galaxies at 1.4 GHz are presented. The observations were carried out with the VLA (B array) with resolution of about 4 arcsec. The observation and reduction procedures are described, and observational parameters are given for each source. For extended sources, contour maps are provided.
