The authors describe an automated procedure designed to achieve accurate detection and measurement of galaxies on deep Schmidt plates. Ellipse fitting and radial profile determination are its main characteristics. Star/galaxy discrimination is performed using bayesian classifications. An original method based on the angular profile asymmetries has been developed to automatically detect the double stars. These reduction techniques are applied to a field of 1°35arcmin × 1°35arcmin. Completeness and purity are checked against eye estimates. The catalogue that includes elliptical parameters and size is provided for galaxies brighter than B26 = 18.
