Sky surveys generally focus on the most common types of sources, for example, stars or distant galaxies, when processing large quantities of astronomical imaging data. These traditional approaches, however, leave large areas of parameter spaces unexplored, for example, low and high surface brightness galaxies. Understanding and quantifying these galaxies have important cosmological implications. In this presentation we describe a project that will eventually process nearly 3 terabytes of imaging data looking for bright galaxies and LSB sources. This quantity of data places important data transfer requirements on the data grid, as does the resulting data processing computations. We are working with the Condor team and the NCSA storage resources group to utilize Alliance resources, Condor, and similar data transfer tools to bring this project to fruition.
