A study of radiation on the order of less than 2 keV is described. Instruments launched in 1976 by the Leinax IV rocket were employed in the study. Attention is given to the proportional UV counter, which was capable of detecting small amounts of radiation from distant stellar sources, and making possible density analysis of the interstellar medium in various parts of the galaxy. One of the objects studied was SN 1006 in the constellation of Lupus. Its radio emissions were examined, and an evaluation made of supernova dynamics in various phases of stellar development. Design and operating parameters of the Leinax IV system are also discussed.
