The supernova remnants IC443 and G189.6+3.3 and the HII region Sharpless 249 are located in a small (2.5 degree diameter) region near the Galactic anticenter. IC443 is a prototype for a supernova remnant interacting with a molecular cloud and a Chandra x-ray image has revealed a pulsar nebula inside IC443. G189.6+3.3 was discovered with the ROSAT PSPC but needs characterization at radio wavelengths. Thus observations were undertaken with the Dominion Radio Astronomical Observatory's Synthesis telescope to map the area at 1420 and 408 MHz. The observations are presented with emphasis on the results of a study of the spectral index variations across the whole region. Some non-thermal radio filaments are identified with G189.6+3.3 and some thermal filaments with S249. Within IC443, a flat spectral index region is identified with the pulsar nebula.
