In the present paper, the boundary value problem of the diffusion of high-energy cosmic particles in a solar wind with an ellipsoidal boundary is solved under the assumption of weak modulation of the particles by the solar wind. Some characteristic features of the anisotropy vector field and the cosmic ray density distribution, resulting from the distortion of the modulation region by the interstellar medium are identified.
