Avery et al. (1976) discovered cyanodiacetylene (HCCCCCN) in Sgr B2. This molecule is the heaviest yet detected in interstellar space, having a molecular weight of 75 amu, and is the longest linear molecule known. Avery's observations were made at the J = 4 to 3 and J = 8 to 7 rotational transitions. A search for the J = 1 to 0 transition is described in the present paper. The J = 1 to 0 lines were detected in Sgr B2 with the Parkes 64-m radio telescope and 11-cm correlation receiver.
