The meteorite investigated fell in the Republic of Niger in April 1970. A sample of the meteorite which had been sent to Paris was found to contain a lithic inclusion. The inclusion contains feldspar, rounded grains of olivine, and minute crystals of chromite. The mineralogical characteristics observed can be explained by assuming that a brief intense heating of the meteorite was followed by rapid cooling
