An analysis of the galactic cosmic-ray electron energy spectrum is performed, and the existence of a large electron halo about the Galaxy is indicated. This halo is shown to have a much weaker emissivity than the disk, thus eliminating the intensely radiating halo previously considered. The resultant theoretical disk and halo emissions from this radiative configuration are found to agree well with analyses of the observed galactic nonthermal background radiation. It is concluded that rejection of the existence of an extensive physical halo about the Galaxy is not warranted.
