The apparition of 1995-96 will witness the last of seven sequences during the twentieth century of passages of the Earth and Sun through the ring-plane of Saturn. A brief guide to the events of the 1995-96 apparition is provided here, along with a diagram showing the passages of the Earth and Sun through the ring-plane of Saturn, after Hepburn. The text has been laid out to allow quick comparison with the diagram, and advice on particular phenomena to search for is given in a manner intended to attract observers at all levels of experience to participate in the section programme.
