Linear and nonlinear nonadiabatic calculations for BL Herculis variables have been made to study the occurrence of bumps in light and velocity curves. Lines of constant period and constant linear theory for the second overtone to fundamental period ratio are plotted in the radial pulsation instability strip on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. Nonlinear calculations show that if the ratio is roughly between 0.47 and 0.53, bumps do occur on the light and velocity curves, just as for the classical Cepheids discussed by Simon and Schmidt. These bumps seem to be global but not necessarily echoes of surface disturbances from the center. Other bumps in light curves may be only photospheric shock waves and not related to the ratio period resonance. Some comparisons with observations are made.
