Hybrid VLBI maps are presented for the compact structure of the radio sources 0428+205, 1518+047, and 2050+364. Both 1518+047 and 2050+364 exhibit symmetric double structure at 1671 MHz, the dominant emission coming from two bright regions at opposite ends of the source. The distant galaxy 0428+205 shows an asymmetric 'core-jet' compact structure. The symmetric doubles are in rough agreement with simple beam models of compact radio sources, but the sources appear to be brighter than expected when compared with asymmetric compact sources.
