We examine the properties of electromagnetic radiation embedded in the metric (+-++) in interaction with ordinary charged particles, where thex-direction is the direction of a superluminal source. The absorption of the corresponding photons and their conversion into ordinary light is considered in lowest-order perturbation theory. Particular emphasis is on the radiation component which spreads with velocities of values around infinity. It is shown that ordinary receivers of electromagnetic radiation do not respond to such light.
