Planetary nebulae have been identified in the dwarf galaxies IC 10, Leo A, Sextans A, Pegasus, and WLM. Using the planetary nebulae as standard candles, upper limits to the distances are found to be 1.8, 3.2, 2.0, 6.4, and 3.8 Mpc. Additionally, no planetary nebulae were found in the regions surveyed in IC 342, Sextans B, NGC 3109, GR 8, and NGC 6946. For three of these, lower limits to their distances are derived.
