Jump conditions for MHD shock waves are expressed in a simple form in
terms of dimensionless variables, and a generalized analytical solution
valid for both MHD and gas-dynamical shocks is given. The cases of
oblique, perpendicular and parallel MHD shocks are discussed in detail.
