Ten probable and four possible Hyades Supercluster members for which there is some indication of very active chromospheres (VAC) are discussed. The VAC stars in the superduster, HD 18134, V47 1 Tau B, +26°730 A, DH Leo, Z Her B and, possibly, HD 36705 lie a magnitude or more above the main sequence. Although there is evidence in one or two cases that this elevation may result from long-term light variations, the majority of the displacements can be understood by equating the VAC stars to subgiant (such as Z Her B) remnants of interacting binaries. In at least one (V471 Tau), and probably two, (DH Leo) cases, the defunct primary component is now a white dwarf. Supercluster stars with lower chromospheric activity, indicated mainly by H and K emission which may be periodically variable, are on the main sequence. Colorimetrically, the VAC stars are distinguishable from those with lower activity by an appreciable b - y deficiency (or R - I excess). The available data for other VAC indicators show that the presence of Hα emission, free-free emission in the radio continuum, and the presence of soft x-ray emission also may distinguish between the VAC and main-sequence stars.
