The galactic cluster NGC 2194 has been studied by means of three-color
photometry in the RGU system. for this cluster a distance of 2740 pc and
a reddening D(G-R) = 0.58 were found. From the existence of a giant
branch in both color-magnitude diagrams, an evolutionary effect can be
attributed to this cluster.
