The analysis of solar dynamo models, based on differential rotation and an alpha-effect (a mean current parallel to the mean magnetic field), is extended to main sequence stars. The oscillatory fields for five stellar models representing F5, G5, K0, K5, and M0 stars are computed. The oscillation periods are inversely proportional to the turbulent Prandtl number; for Pr equals 0.01 the periods range from 1 yr for F5 stars to 40 yr for M0 stars.
