We present recent modeling results on all available simultaneous broadband spectra of the flat-spectrum radio quasar (FSRQ) PKS 0528+134 during 6 years of EGRET observations. We find that the spectral energy distributions of the source are most suitably reproduced by a two-component model, in which the target photons are produced externally to the γ-ray emitting region, but also including an SSC component. We observe that during the higher γ-ray states, the bulk Lorentz factor of the jet increases, possibly causing an intensification of the external soft photon field. Our model calculations indicate the trend that the energies of the electrons giving rise to the synchrotron peak decreases, as the source goes from a low to a high γ-ray state, in contrast to that observed in high-frequency peaked BL Lac objects (HBLs). .
