Measured values of the temperature gradients of the prominence-corona (P-C) transition zone in the case of a prominence seen projected on the solar disk have been examined. In some regions the filament is clearly outlined by two emission peaks of transition zone lines (EUV). From the location of the peaks of the contrast curves of these regions we have derived the temperature gradients and compared them to the temperature. Among the four cases studied, one, corresponding to a region of a later extension of the filament, does not have a roughly constant temperature gradient. The difference between the P-C and C-C (chromosphere-corona) temperature gradients is discussed; gas pressure values are presented, and the energy loss and gain are established. Thermal conductivity appears to be negligible.
