Within its first year Chandra has discovered in the two youngest Galactic oxygen-rich supernova remnants, Cas A and G292.0+1.8, point-like sources that are likely the compact remnants of these SN explosions. Here we propose sensitive HRC observations to search for the pulsed X-ray emission from the newly discovered compact object in G292.0+1.8.
