An analysis is made of the striction-effected expulsion of ionospheric plasma by a field of high-frequency plasma waves excited in the vicinity of high-power radio-wave resonance. It is shown that, at the initial stage of this process, the plasma expulsion from the resonance region is accompanied by positive density disturbances which propagate both upward and downward from the zone of the excitation of plasma turbulence with ion-acoustic velocity. This dynamics leads to a short-term increase in the frequency of waves reflected somewhat below the resonance level.
