Models of charged rotating magnetic neutron stars are considered. It is
shown that, for the special (and most realistic) case of magnetic dipole
field structure, the pulsar must possess a net charge whose magnitude
depends upon the relative orientation of the rotation and dipole axes.
Mathematical details are presented in an appendix.
