'Ultraviolet' stars are defined as those whose continuous spectra are quite strong in the wavelength region down to at least 2500 A. Spectrograms of two such stars, obtained aboard the Orion 2 space observatory, are analyzed. Both are shown to be fainter than 10th magnitude. It is found that the energy distribution in their spectra corresponds to temperatures in excess of 20,000 K. However, an evaluation of their absolute luminosities indicates that these stars are not normal hot giants.
