Celestial Mechanics: Orbital Determination, Perturbation Due To Oblateness, Orbit Computing Of Short Arc, Laplace Method

Laplace method is a typical method of orbit computing for short arc in the model of two-body problem. If the angel measurement is as accurate as 10-4-10-5 (2''-20'' ), the oblateness of the Earth should be considered in the orbit computing. The theory and the process of an improved Laplace method together with numerical examples are given. Besides the orbit computing with multi-type measurements, this method is an efficient way to improve the accuracy of orbit computing. And it will be more useful to the orbit computing of the body with large oblateness.
