UK Schmidt prism plates centered at 01h39m, -55° have been used to search for QSOs and emission line objects. 123 QSO candidates and 12 emission line extra-galactic objects have been identified. Combined with other survey results, a discussion of the comparison between theoretical expectation and the actual incidence of gravitational lenses is presented.
