The Near Infrared and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) onboard the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) was reactivated following the installation of the NICMOS Cooling System (NCS) during the March 2002 HST Servicing Mission 3B (SM3B). The NCS has provided excellent control of the dewar temperature resulting in a stable and efficient performance of all three NICMOS cameras. We review the first year of NICMOS operation after its revival, early verification and calibration programs, including image quality, throughput, and focus monitoring. This work is supported by the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc., under NASA contract NAS5-26555.
