Radio observations at 5 and 14.7 GHz are presented for 18 suggested supernova remnants in the Large Magellanic Cloud. We confirm that there are non-thermal sources in 15 of these nebulae and that three of these contain two or more, possibly unrelated, non-thermal sources. The surface brightness diameter diagram for the LMC SNRs is only marginally different from that for the galactic SNRs. The number-diameter diagram can be interpreted in terms of the adiabatic (Sedov) model yielding a supernova birthrate of one every 400 yr in the LMC.
